Putticoop (Lian Kian Lek & Hung Man Po)
After graduating from Melbourne University in architecture, Kian worked in Berlin for almost 14 years, living in Beijing in between. Beyond his architectural projects in Europe and China, he has had solo and group art exhibitions in the Netherlands, Germany and Spain. In 2014, he returned to Malaysia and worked as the art director for Kakiseni International Arts Festival.
Throughout his career, Kian has received numerous awards, including Best Stage Design in the 14th ADA Drama Awards. He co-founded multidisciplinary design studio Putticoop, specialising in arts festival branding, architectural projects, art installations, scenography and costume design.
Po is a Hong Kong graphic designer, illustrator and storyteller. In 2016, he founded his creative company Po Hung Design Lab, creating brand identities for international brands such as British Council and Bangkok Insurance. He has also developed key visuals and brand identities for arts festivals such as Jockey Club New Arts Power (JCNAP). As an artist, Po documents untold stories of Hong Kong, exploring the city’s urban vernacular. He has had solo and group exhibitions in countries like Hong Kong, Malaysia and Canada. In 2020, his artwork “Hong Kong Story” was awarded distinction at the Taipei International Design Award and Golden Pin Design Award.
