Experience the vibrant streets of Penang like never before, through an electrifying showcase of sketches by Urban Sketchers (USk) Penang.
Since 2010, USk Penang has been a beacon of creativity, dedicated to the art of on-location drawing. Driven by their motto, “See George Town One Drawing At A Time,” they have transformed the mundane into the extraordinary, breathing life into every city corner.
From bustling streets to tranquil waterfronts, immerse yourself in the unique interpretations of 12 artists. Presented by The Art Gallery, Penang, Here & Now beckons you to witness Penang’s treasures, immortalised one delicate brushstroke at a time.

Urban Sketchers Penang
Urban Sketchers Penang began as Penang Sketchers in 2010, and became Urban Sketchers Penang in 2011 as part of the global NGO USk Chapters. They dedicate themselves to the practice of on-location drawing. USk Penang is one of the leading chapters in the Asian region and is the first of eight cooperated chapters in Malaysia. With the aim to see Penang one drawing at a time, they organise Sunday Sketchwalk at various places in Penang.
